If you like a good tapas crawl, put this one in your diary: the QuintoTapa Km0 is back in El Prat de Llobregat from 8 October to 1 November 2026. It is the 19th edition and the biggest yet: 33 bars and restaurants and 60 tapas made with local produce, each served with a quinto (a small 20 cl bottle) of Estrella Damm for €4 or €4.50.

El Prat is a short train or metro ride from Barcelona, and this is a great way to discover the food of the Llobregat delta for very little money.

QuintoTapa Km0 at a glance

When: 8 October to 1 November 2026
Where: 33 bars and restaurants in El Prat de Llobregat
Price: house tapa + beer, €4. Pota Blava or Km0 tapa + beer, €4.50

Voting: 1 to 5 on Gastronosfera

What is the QuintoTapa Km0

It is El Prat’s tapas route: you go from bar to bar and order one tapa and one quinto at each. It has been organised since the first edition by El Prat City Council and the Asociación de Gastronomía y Turismo (AGT), and this year the Gremi de Restauradors del Prat and Estrella Damm join in. The brewery is celebrating 150 years and its main factory is in El Prat.

The Km0 in the name says it all: the tapas are made with seasonal, local produce, mostly from the Parc Agrari del Baix Llobregat.

Prices from €4 to €4.50

  • House tapa + beer: €4. Each bar’s own creation.
  • Pota Blava tapa + beer: €4.50. Starring the local Prat chicken.
  • Km0 tapa + beer: €4.50. With vegetables and produce from the Parc Agrari.

The beer can be Estrella Damm or, if you prefer alcohol-free, Free Damm Tostada.

Pota Blava chicken, in half of the 60 tapas

Pota Blava (“blue leg”) is the Prat breed of chicken, raised in the delta and famous for the bluish colour of its legs. It turns up in about half of the tapas, in all sorts of forms: bao buns, arepas, gyozas, fritters, chicken wings and Russian salad.

The rest of the tapas use produce from the Parc Agrari: pumpkin, carrot, escalivada, potato, artichoke and Prat tomatoes, plus farm eggs and even vermouth made in El Prat.

A few tapas on my list

  • Ou yeah! at El Bar de la Capsa: a fritter filled with Pota Blava.
  • Aletes de Pota Blava amb mel i mostassa at La Ricardeta: chicken wings with honey and mustard.
  • Caracoles del Mingote at Café Bar Mingote, with artichoke.
  • La Flamenca at Casa Anita, with eggs from Granja Torres.
  • VermuTaco at La nueva primavera: pulled pork taco with El Prat vermouth.
  • Albergínia en pa de coca at Lola’s Brunch: aubergine on coca bread with yoghurt sauce and honey.
  • Capritx de Gla at Xarcuteria Los Molina: coca with Ibérico shoulder and Payoyo cheese.
  • Coca MR at Mesón Cal Roger: coca with torrezno and smoked pepper sauce.
  • Pastel Criollo Km0 at Gustico y Tradición.

How to vote and what you can win

Once you have tried the tapas you can rate them from 1 to 5 on Gastronosfera. You need to register, choose the bar and rate its tapa. Anyone aged 18 or over who has tried at least one tapa on the route can take part.

  • Best tapa of QuintoTapa Km0 2026: goes to the tapa with the highest average score, as long as it has at least 15 votes from different people.
  • Prize draw for voters: two prizes, each with a visit for two to the Estrella Damm factory in El Prat and a €100 voucher to spend at the participating venues. The draw takes place on 27 October.

My tip: keep your receipts, as the organisers may ask for them to check you did the route.

How to get to El Prat from Barcelona

  • By Rodalies train: the R2 stops at El Prat de Llobregat station.
  • By metro: L9 Sud has stops in town, such as El Prat Estació and Cèntric.

If you are going as a group and want to make several stops, the train is the easiest option: nobody has to drive after the beers.

And between tapas, El Prat

The organisers suggest using the route to discover the town: the Espais Naturals del Riu, the Mirador dels Flamencs flamingo viewpoint, the Can Camins pine wood, the Carrabiners, the Semàfor, the Parc Agrari and El Prat beach. A lovely Sunday plan: a walk in the delta in the morning and tapas at lunchtime.

If you want more, here is where to eat well and cheaply in Barcelona, my favourite neighbourhood bodegas and my guide to Barcelona in October. And on 31 October, just before the route ends, comes the Castanyada.
