Hi, I'm Anita Jiménez

Barcelona has been my home for more than twenty years. I didn't come here passing through or on holiday: I've lived here, got lost in its streets a thousand times and built, neighbourhood by neighbourhood, my own version of the city. That's the Barcelona I share on Barcelona Inspira — the one you live from the inside, not the one on the postcards.

I've been sharing the city on my social media for more than nine years, and in that time I've learnt that what people really want isn't the usual list, but to know where the locals go: which bodega serves vermouth without the tourists, which neighbourhood has the best atmosphere on a Sunday, which plan is worth it and which one is overrated. My obsession is finding those places and talking about them honestly.

Food is my weak spot — neighbourhood tapas, markets, old-school bodegas — but I also lose myself in culture, weekend plans and day trips close to the city. Over these years I've worked with brands creating content, always with the same rule: only recommend what I'd genuinely recommend to a friend coming to visit me.
