Some plans only happen once, and this is one of them. The World Cup trophy Spain lifted at the 2026 World Cup is in Barcelona. The Royal Spanish Football Federation has brought its touring exhibition «Reyes del Mundo» (“Kings of the World”) to City Hall, and you can see it for free. Today, Tuesday 3 November, is the last day on Plaça de Sant Jaume, so if you’d love a photo with the trophy, now’s the time.
What is it? An immersive exhibition on Spain’s road to winning the World Cup, with the real trophy as the star.
Why go? It’s free, it’s right in the Gothic Quarter and it’s a one-off: the chance to see football’s most coveted trophy up close.

How to get in
This is the key part, because you can’t book:
- Entry is strictly first come, first served.
- No advance registration: you register at the entrance itself, following the RFEF staff’s instructions.
- That’s where you get your entry ticket.
- The ticket gives no priority: you go in when your turn in the queue comes.
Getting there: metro Jaume I (L4) or Liceu (L3), then a five-minute walk through the Gothic Quarter.
What you’ll see
«Reyes del Mundo» relives, first-hand, the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico right up to Spain’s title. The star is the World Cup trophy, which you can see up close and photograph.
The exhibition has been touring Spain for weeks: Málaga, Seville, Oviedo, León, Valladolid, Burgos and Zaragoza, and its first stops alone drew over 55,000 visitors. So expect a queue. According to the RFEF, the ticket you get at the door gives no priority at all: arrival order is what counts.
My tips
- Go first thing, around 10 am, or at midday: it’s usually quieter than in the afternoon.
- Charge your phone for the photo with the trophy.
- Don’t leave it to the end: it closes at 8 pm and the queue can be long.
- If you’re going with kids, remember the wait is standing and outdoors.
Make an afternoon of it in the Gothic Quarter
You’re already on Plaça de Sant Jaume, so after the trophy walk up to the Cathedral via the Pont del Bisbe, wander the streets of El Call and finish with a drink on Plaça Reial. If you fancy music later, there’s jazz at Jamboree at 7 pm and Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves at the Palau de la Música at 8:30 pm. What about after 3 November?
On 4 and 5 November the trophy moves to the Catalan Football Federation headquarters (4 Nov, 10 am to 8 pm; 5 Nov, 10 am to 2 pm). Those days are mainly for Catalan football clubs and members, so if you’d like to go, check the conditions on the FCF’s channels first.
