If you knit or crochet, or fancy starting, this is your weekend. On 14 and 15 November, WTC Barcelona in Port Vell hosts the 9th Barcelona Knits Festival, the city’s big wool fair: dyers, small wool producers, accessories, specialist magazines, workshops and talks.
It’s a perfect autumn day out: you buy beautiful yarn, learn something new and have lunch looking at the sea.
What is it? A wool and fibre fair with exhibitors, knitting and crochet workshops and talks in the auditorium.
Why go? You’ll find craft yarns and dyes in one place that you’d normally only be able to buy online.

My tips
- Go on Sunday if you don’t have a Saturday ticket: it’s calmer.
- Bring a tote bag: you’ll leave with plenty.
- If you’re driving, the WTC car park has a discount over the weekend (book through the P-APP app), and the Ametller Origen and Aire de Mar restaurants inside the WTC are open.
